Neither Leeds nor Aston Villa come into this match in the best of form. Leeds have won just two of their last five matches, the same stat applies to Villa. Both will be eager to get the win here though as they have some very tough matches fast approaching and this will be seen as an opportunity to get a few places higher up the Premier League table. Let’s have a look through the stats then and see if we can find some value in the betting markets.

Leeds vs Aston Villa: Betting Tips and Predictions

Leeds’ overall form, mentioned above isn’t the best but it’s a wee bit better at home where they’ve won three of their last five PL matches, losing the other two. They’ve a pretty decent scoring average this season at Elland Road with 1.58 goals scored per match, which is as good as high-flying Leicester City. However, they’ve been conceding too many; 1.33 goals per match on average.

Villa’s form is pretty dour on the road, they’ve won just one of their last five away from Villa Park, a 0-1 win over an out-of-form Southampton, losing three and drawing one. Their goals record on the road is very good at 1.42 per match and are only conceding 0.83.

At first glance on our Insights Page there doesn’t seem to be much value available but with both teams scoring plenty of goals we should be able to squeeze something out of it here.

Digging further into the stats we see that there’s been a First Half goal in 75% of home Leeds matches and in 67% of away Villa matches. Unfortunately, Leeds have only scored in the FH in 42% of their home matches while Villa have scored in the FH in 50% of their away matches. Combining those stats we’d need to wait until odds of 2.18 minimum before betting on Over 0.5 FH goals to have any value. If you’re watching it, and you should always watch a match you’re betting, and see both teams are going for it another option is to Lay the HT Draw as halftime approaches.

At the time of writing there’s no value in Both Teams to Score as you can see above. However, with both teams enjoying good scoring spells you’d expect it to land here, you’d just have to enter the betting inplay for better odds.

Both teams average a high amount of corners too, both are currently getting 5.83 and 5.25 corners per game and again the odds are great currently but will be a lot better if you hold the trigger and enter the market inplay.
