Sixth placed Spurs welcome first placed Liverpool to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon for their Premier League matchday 22 clash. Spurs have only beaten Liverpool once in their last five home meetings, can they do it here without their talisman Harry Kane, or will Liverpool continue their march towards the Premier League title? Read our preview to find out what we’re predicting and where any value can be found in the betting markets.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Tips and Predictions: Tottenham

Spurs’ form of late isn’t great, winning one, drawing two and losing two of their last five matches in all competitions. When Jose Mourinho took the role things looked like they were starting to improve but it would appear the Portuguese has a job on his hands to get Spurs back into the Top 4. He’s already back playing his old tricks of getting up to some sideline shenanigans and blaming players to keep the media’s focus off bad performances. Usually that’s Jose in season three, not after a few weeks, you have to wonder if he’ll get the show back on the road of if he’s doomed to fail again

Spurs’ home form in the Premier League is good though, they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five on home turf. They’ve won six, drawn two and lost two at home in the PL this season, scoring 21 and conceding 10, so that’s an average of 2.10 and 1.0 goals per match.

They beat Liverpool in 2017 at home in the league, the time before that was in 2012 so they’ve not had much success against the Reds and no doubt Mourinho will set up the team to counter here and with Son Heung-Min leading the line you’d have to fancy him to get a goal here. He’s currently priced around 3.30 to Score Anytime.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Tips and Predictions: Liverpool

Liverpool have lost just one match in their last 15 in all competitions, that away League Cup match to Aston Villa where they were forced to play what was more or less the youth team. We’ll not count that match then, really then. Liverpool have lost only once this season, against Napoli in the Champions League and knowing they’ve beaten Spurs over their last four meetings both away and home and, of course, that Champions League final in Madrid, they’ll be confident of getting the three points on offer here. They’re currently priced around 1.75 to win here.

In the Premier League, Liverpool have won four and drawn one of their most recent five PL matches on the road. The Reds have won eight and drawn one of the away PL matches so far this season, scoring 20 goals and conceding just five, so that’s an average of 2.22 and 0.56 per match.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Tips and Predictions: Stats

Over Spurs’ five most recent PL matches at home, they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one. Over 2.5 goals has landed in 3/5 matches, while BTTS has occurred in 3/5 as well.

For Liverpool they’ve won four and drawn one of their last five away PL matches. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in 4/5 matches, while BTTS has landed in 3/5 as well.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Betting Tips and Predictions: Prediction and Tips

Both Teams to Score looks nailed on, but the price isn’t great at just 1.62, as you can see from the Bet Dynamo Insights Page image above there’s little value to be had, that’s thanks to Liverpool’s impressive Clean Sheets record but we do expect Spurs to get at least one here. There’s no value in Over 2.5 goals but Over 3 at 2.06 is offering some value and should be priced around 2.0.
