Bundesliga Betting Outrights 2021/22

6th August 2021

Previews

Bayern Munich lifted their 31st Bundesliga title last season. The Bavarians finished 13 points ahead of RB Leipzig which is a bit flattering as throughout the season RB Leipzig had given Bayern a decent challenge until the final weeks after Hansi Flick’s side were eliminated from the Champions League by Paris St Germain on away goals. Will Bayern win yet another Bundesliga title this season? The bookies certainly think so but let’s have a look at some of the other potential bets and which teams are the most likely to be relegated.

Bundesliga Outrights 2021/21 - Champions At the time of writing the odds for Bayern Munich to win the Bundesliga are pitifully low, averagining at 1.17. The lowest is available with 188Bet at a lowly 1.10 while the highest is available with Interwetten at 1.25. Still pretty terrible odds but can anyone really make a good case for Bayern not to win what would be their 17th title since 1999/2000?

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are a good bit behind Bayern in the betting odds as you can see here.

Bayern haven’t been too busy in the transfer market as of yet but one signing was relieving RB Leipzig of their centre back, Dayot Upamecano. Dortmund have made a couple of interesting signings, most notable among them is the signing of forward Donyell Malen from PSV who scored 40 Eredivisie goals over 80 appearances for the Eindhoven club. If he’ll make up for the transfer loss of Jordan Sancho will remain to be seen.

Bundesliga Outrights 2021/21 - Winners Without Bayern

Leipzig have recruited former Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva who has 40 goals over his 57 Bundesliga appearances so far. They’ve also recruited in defensive positions and as we saw last year it’s certainly an area of the park that needed improving. While they only lost seven games last season they conceded a fair amount of goals and to mount a challenge against Bayern and a hungry Dortmund they’re going to need to shore up their defences.

You can bet on who will ‘Will Win Without Bayern’ where Dortmund are the favourites, priced around 1.70 but RB Leipzig offer the better value. Their transfer dealings look particularly smart and rather than losing quality, Dortmund losing Sancho, it looks like they’ve improved the side.

Bundesliga Outrights 2021/22 - Relegation

At the time of writing there are no odds available for betting on relegation from this season’s Bundeslgia however, we can flip the odds to see who the bookies already think won’t survive. Bundesliga II champions Bochum and runners-up Greuther Furth are favourites for the drop, followed closely by Arminia Bielefeld and FC Koln who finished 15th and 16th respectively last season. Closer to the Bundesliga 2021/22 season kicking off we’ll return with the proper odds.
