As winners of Group C, Netherlands have been drawn against the Czech Republic in the Last 16 of this summer’s European Championships. Netherlands have also been in good goal-scoring form having netted a total of 13 goals over their last five matches. Hard to see the Czechs keeping their quiet here, they’ve conceded seven over their last five and with Overs landing in eight of the Netherland’s last 10 games we should see a few here. The Czechs are no pushovers though and showed against Croatia in particular that they can go toe-to-toe with good teams and indeed, even in their 0-1 loss to England in their final Group D game, they had their chances to draw level. It’s worth points out too that against Scotland, where they emerged as 0-2 winners, they weren’t the best team, Scotland really should have won that match but the Czechs were clinical with their goal-scoring chances.

The Czechs are a good unit but lack that individual flair in midfield that can unlock a game and as good as Schick is he’s a striker and needs service from the midfield rather than him coming back and trying to dictate games.
