Roma vs Milan Betting Tips and Predictions

Both teams come into this match desperate for the win here. Roma are closing in on Juventus and Milan above them in the table while Milan now find themselves four points behind Inter after leading the league for much of the season. The home side are in the better form too while Milan haven’t won any of their three most previous matches in all competitions. Let’s see if there’s any value to be found in the markets.

Roma vs Milan: Betting Tips and Predictions

Nice to see some Blue Value indicators for this match. This usually means we can delve deeper into the stats and find even better picks. While things like Over 1.5 goals at those slim odds might be okay for a fun Acca we’d prefer to go with some singles and get the best bang for our buck here.

Over 2.5 goals hasn’t hit the magic 70% at the time of writing but with an implied probability of 69% you’d expect odds as low as 1.45 so there’s some value to be had there as well. Unfortunately though, recent history isn’t really on the side of a high-scoring affair here, only one of the last five Serie A meetings between the sides at the Stadio Olimpico has seen Overs landing.

However, recent form would suggest plenty of goals here, four out of Roma’s five most recent home Serie A matches have seen Overs landing and they’re averaging 2.58 goals per home Serie A match. Overs has landed in three out of four of Milan’s most recent away matches in all competitions and they’re averaging 1.91 goals per away league match this season.

Roma vs Milan: Betting Tips and Predictions

The Over 2.5 goals odds are a little too low though and we’d encourage people to wait until the price reaches something between 2.0 and 2.20 before getting involved. So long as there’s been a few chances and shots on target and corners. If it’s 0-0 after 20 minutes with no shots then Over 2.5 goals probably isn’t the way to go.

Both teams have pretty high stats for first and second half goals though. Roma have scored a First Half goal in 83% of their home matches, Milan have scored a FH goal in 82% of their away matches and in the second half Roma have scored a SH goal in 67% of their home league matches while the figure stands at 73% for Milan. What do these stats mean? Well, if we should find the match is 0-0 after 30-35 minutes and if there’s been plenty of action we’d be able to exploit the short odds to Lay the Draw or back Over 0.5 goals.

If you decide there won’t be a goal in the FH and want to wait until the second period of play then the same goes for the second half if a goal hasn’t been scored, we’d look to get involved at the 70-75 minute mark and LTD. There’s plenty of goals in both teams and with so much to play for, both will be going for it here.
