After a short Christmas break La Liga is back and we’re taking a look at two of the Saturday matches, Atletico Madrid vs Levante and Espanyol vs Barcelona and looking to do a Value Double, so what can we find in the markets? Read on to find out.

Atletico Madrid vs Levante: Atletico to Win - 1.30

As you can see for this match from our Bet Dynamo Insights Page there’s not much value across the markets. The home side come into this match as massive favourites, currently priced around 1.30 to take the three points. Their season certainly hasn’t gone to plan but Levante have a terrible record playing Atletico, having never beaten them in their 13 previous meetings. Levante’s away from is pretty bad too, three wins and six losses in their nine La Liga matches so far.

Atletico on the other hand have won five, drawn three and lost just once at home this season (to Barcelona) so obviously they’re going to be favourites here.

As said, they’ve won five, drawn three and lost one of their nine La Liga home matches, scoring 12 and conceding just five, that’s an average of 1.33 goals per game and 0.56 conceded. Over 2.5 goals has only occurred in 22% of home Atletico matches and BTTS only in 33% of their home matches.

Levante have won three and lost six on their league travels, scoring 10 and conceding 17, so an average of 1.11 and 1.89 per match. 78% of away Levante matches have seen Over 2.5 goals occur, while BTTS has landed in 67%, or 6/9 matches.

Atletico should see off Levante here, the Asian Handicap line of -1 is available for around 1.45, but that bet would only have won in 2/5 previous meetings so we’re just going for the straight win here at 1.30.

Espanyol vs Barcelona: Barcelona to Win - 1.46

Espanyol are the worst performing team when we look at home form, they’ve won no matches, drawing two and losing seven of their nine played at the RCDE Stadium this season. Of course this is the Derbi Barceloni and the home side will be fired up but saying that, they’ve not beaten Barcelona at home in the league since 2007.

As said they’ve only drawn two and have lost seven of their nine home matches, scoring seven and conceding 20, so an average of 0.78 goals per match and 2.22 conceded. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in 5/9 matches (56%) and BTTS has landed in 5/9 as well.

Barcelona meanwhile have won four, drawn two and lost three of their nine away La Liga matches this season, scoring 13 and conceding 11, so an average of 1.44 goals scored and 1.22 conceded per match. Over 2.5 goals has occurred in 56% of their away matches and BTTS has occurred in just 4/9 (44%).

On current form the away side should come out on top here so we’re backing them at 1.46. Both of these selections into a Double will give you odds of around 1.95.
