Much has been made of Liverpool’s lack of form over the last few weeks but they were comfortable enough winners against Germany’s RB Leipzig midweek in the Champions League. Everton’s form has also taken a dip of late, they’d been doing quite well until recently and have only won two of their last seven matches in all competitions, one of which was in Extra Time against Spurs. The Liverpool derby is one of those matches watched all over the world, one of the most famous derbies in world football and Liverpool are firm favourites. Everton haven’t won at Anfield since 1999, a run of 24 matches. Let’s have a look for some value in the betting markets.

As said above, Liverpool haven’t lost this fixture since 1999. Francis Jeffers scored and got sent off in that match. Any of you remember him? Anyway, Liverpool’s bastion of Anfield lies in rubble at the moment, the Premier League champions have won none of their five most recent fixtures there, scoring just two goals over those five matches, conceding seven. However, they may have turned a corner against Leipzig midweek, keeping their first clean sheet in seven matches and Mo Salah is their shining light with five goals over his five most recent matches in a red shirt.

While Everton’s overall form is pretty bad looking, they’ve been mighty on their travels. They’ve lost none of their seven, winning five and drawing two. Maybe it’s finally going to be their year at Anfield? But then again, Toffee’s fans say that every season. One thing is for sure, their away scoring record is one of the best in the league, they’re averaging 1.64 goals per away league match.

There’s no much value in the pre-kickoff markets here as you can see. The SH goals odds are showing value but those odds are terrible and the best way to approach it would be to Lay the Draw or lay the scoreline if it’s 0-0, or 1-1 at halftime.

Only three out of the last 10 meetings here in all competitions have ended in a draw and nine of those 10 saw at least one SH goal.
