Bayern have just fired Niko Kovac thanks to a lacklustre start to the league and losing 5-1 away to Eintracht Frankfurt but got back to winning ways, beating Olympiakos 2-0 in the Champions League midweek. Dortmund on the other hand are on a good run and midweek came from 0-2 down to beat Inter 3-2 in the CL. In team news Jerome Boateng received a red card against Frankfurt so is suspended but other than that, Bayern have no new injuries to report.

Dortmund were woeful in the first half against Inter and manager Lucien Favre must have eaten them alive at half time because they came out for the second half a different team and came from 0-2 down to win the match 3-2.

In the Bundesliga, Dortmund have been drawing far too many matches of late, of their last five they’ve drawn three and on the road they drawn their last three matches in a row.
