Old Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United welcome Unai Emery’s Arsenal to Old Trafford on Monday night for the final game of the Premier League’s matchday seven fixtures. Man United needed penalties to see off League One outfit Rochdale in the League Cup midweek and the heat is already on Solskjaer. Arsenal meanwhile have now won three in a row and have only lost one match (away to Liverpool) from their eight in all competitions so far this season.

Man United vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Predictions: Man United

Apparently there’s a crisis at Manchester United. Eight points from a possible 18 doesn’t quite cut the mustard in Manchester. However, United’s overall form is pretty good, they’ve only lost one of their last five fixtures, 2-0 away to West Ham last weekend. It’s not really the tally of points though that has upset Man United fans, it’s how the team has been playing. There’s something missing; call it bite, or fight or bottle, but it looks like Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t the right man for the job and isn’t getting the best out of the players at his disposal.

It all started off so well with that 4-0 hammering of Chelsea, but since then, even though United have won 3/4 of their home matches, Leicester, Astana and Rochdale (on penalties), losing the other to Crystal Palace, it’s the displays that have annoyed the Old Trafford faithful. The team have been lacklustre and bereft of attacking ideas. True to say as well that United have struggled with injuries this season but a team with the squad of Man United should be seeing off the likes of Astana and Rochdale with great ease rather than what we’ve seen.

In team news, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly are all still out. In good news, Paul Pogba could return. Rashford will be a big miss, he won’t be back until mid-October, he has three goals in six matches and United are struggling for goals in the squad.

Man United vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Predictions: Arsenal

Arsenal took a lot of slack for their display away to Watford a few weeks ago. Having been 0-2 up they seemed to be cruising to a win and instead of seeing off the match they let Watford back in and really had it not been for some incredibly wasteful shooting from Watford they should have won. Since then though, the Gunners have won 3/3, scoring 11 goals and conceding five.

As said above, they’ve only lost once so far this season in all competitions but it must be said that Old Trafford has never been a happy hunting ground for the London side. In their 90 league matches against the Red Devils, they’ve only won 14 times, losing 51 and drawing 25.

In teams news Maitland-Niles is suspended thanks to the red card he picked up against Aston Villa in their last Premier League match. Alexandre Lacazette is still out injured but should return soon. Keep an eye out for the upcoming press conference for more up-to-date news on his return.

Man United vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Predictions: Prediction and Tips

The Asian Handicap line opened at 0.25 in favour of the away side at 1.95, it has fallen to 1.91. While for United, it has drifted from 1.95 to 2.04. The goal line opened at 3 and has moved very little.

A tough one to call, United aren’t in great form, but Arsenal have a terrible record there and getting Manchester United over Evens at home is always worth the risk. We’re going with Man United +0.25 at 2.04
