Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United welcome Brendan Rodger’s Leicester City to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon for their Premier League clash. United haven’t won since the opening day 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea and they’ll be going up against a Leicester City side who are undefeated in their last five Premier League fixtures.

Man United vs Leicester City Betting Tips and Predictions: Man United

Pressure is already starting to mount again on Solskjaer at Man United. It had somewhat dissipated during the summer thanks to a few high profile transfers in and out of the club but United finished last season with a wheeze rather than a bang and it looks like the cracks may be resurfacing at Old Trafford again.

Add to this United’s injury list of Jesse Lingard, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luka Shaw, Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Diogo Dalot and you’d be forgiven for thinking United could be in for a stern test here. What was one a fortress, Old Trafford is now a happy hunting ground for away teams. Of their last five home matches the Red Devils have only won one match, over that period they’ve lost to Crystal Palace just over two weeks ago and to Cardiff City last season. It’s kind of hard to believe that a Neil Warnock team beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, but they did.

Is there any good news for United? Marcus Rashford is playing well so far this campaign with two goals in four appearances as is new signing Daniel James who has three goals in four matches, both will be eager to add to their tallies here.

Man United vs Leicester City Betting Tips and Predictions: Leicester

Rodger’s Leicester City have started off pretty well having accumulated eight points from a possible 12 and many people are tipping them to finish in the Top 4 this season. Jamie Vardy has looked a bit lonely at times in this new formation that Rodger has the team playing in, but he has three goals in his last three matches and looks eager to continue that scoring form. He’s been a bit frustrated at times as the players behind him come to grips with their new roles, but as each game week goes by they’re getting more used to their roles.

At the time of writing there are no new injuries to report, Wes Morgan is a doubt but he could return here. Leicester’s record at Old Trafford is pretty dire though, from the 45 times they’ve played there in the league they’ve only won three times, the last time was in 1973.

Man United vs Leicester City Betting Tips and Predictions: Tips and Predictions

The Asian Handicap line opened at 1 and has gone to 0.5. This means that the market thinks United are worse than the bookies think. The goal line opened at 2.5 at 1.90, it has fallen slightly to 1.87.

With United’s injury list being so long you could see Leicester upsetting the apple cart here and their price has been steadily dropping since opening at 6.60, it’s now around 4.60. But that record at Old Trafford is awful so the Asian Handicap of Leicester +0.5 at 2.05 looks tempting. However, we have to remember that originally the bookies were giving Leicester a full goal advantage, thanks to Man United’s form and injuries the advantage has been cut so it’s not a good value bet because Leicester +0.5 opened at 2.56. We’re going to play it safe here and go with Both Teams to Score at 1.86.
